Margaret Nadeau, the 2009 International Champion

Margaret Nadeau wins 43rd Terlingua International Chili Cookoff.

Margaret Nadeau of Boerne, Texas, won the 43rd Terlingua International Chili Championship in Terlingua, TX, on November 7, 2009. Margaret's chili was judged best by six panels of judges who had to select from 328 chilis which were cooked at Rancho Casi de los Chisos on that day.

Margaret also won the coveted Terlingua International Chili Cookoff in 2005. As reining champion she will be present at many cookoffs throughout the year leading up to the 44rd championship in November, 2010, as CASI continues its pursuit of "Chili, Charity, and Fun".

The Terlingua International Chili Championship has expanded to become a multi-day event featuring various cooking competitions, culminating with the Terlingua International Chili Championship on Saturday. This year we will hold the second annual CASI BBQ Cookoff in Krazy Flats, on Thursday, November 4. The BBQ contest is sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue Society. Details about BBQ contest, including guaranteed prize money, can be found by reading this announcement.
