Monday – October 27, 2008

8:00 AM Rancho CASI de los Chisos officially opens. CASI Directors will be on the grounds to assist you. If you arrive prior to this date, the Parking Rules are still in effect; we sure don't want to have to ask you to move your campsite.

Tuesday – October 28, 2008

12:00 PM Beer Concessions open

Wednesday – October 29, 2008

10:00 AM Port-a-johns arrive
12:00 PM Beer Concessions open
12:00 PM Vendor setup

Thursday – October 30, 2008

9:00 AM Judges’ Registration in Judging Area until 5:00 PM
10:00 AM Adopt a Highway Trash Pickup – meet at the Stage
10:00 AM T-shirt and Beer Concessions open
10:00 AM Cook and Show Team Registration behind the Stage until 3:00 PM. Photographic identification must be presented to register to cook chili and perform showmanship
10:00 AM Wings, Beans and Salsa Competition Registration until 3:00 PM
2:00 PM Krazy Flats Concession Stand Open House until 4:00 PM
3:00 PM Old 320 meeting
7:00 PM Memorial Board and Plaza dedication
8:00 PM Wade Hatton and the Texas Hat Band on the main stage until Midnight

Friday – October 31, 2008 - CASI Scholarship Day

8:30 AM Presentation of Colors and National Anthem
9:00 AM Judges’ Registration in Judging Area until 1:00 PM
10:00 AM Old 320 Business Meeting in the Stage Area
10:00 AM T-Shirt and Beer Concessions open
11:00 AM Cook and Show Team Registration behind the Stage until 2:00 PM. Photographic identification must be presented to register to cook chili and perform showmanship
10:00 AM Beans and Salsa Competition Registration until 11:30 AM
11:00 AM Hot Wings preliminary turn-in at the Judging Area
12:00 PM Beans turn-in at Judging Area
1:00 PM Salsa turn-in at Judging Area
1:30 PM Posting of Hot Wings Finalists
2:30 PM Showmanship Team Meeting at the Stage Area
3:00 PM Hot Wings final turn-in at the Judging area
4:30 PM First-Time Chili Cooks’ Meeting and Reception Behind the Stage
5:00 PM Announcement of Wings, Beans and Salsa Winners from the Stage
8:00 PM Wade Hatton and the Texas Hat Band on the main stage until Midnight

Saturday - November 1, 2008 – The Main Event

6:00 AM Arena Area open for setup until 9:00 AM
6:00 AM - 11:59 AM Chili cooking can begin at any time, as long as it is completed by noon.
8:00 AM Cook and Show Team Registration behind the Stage until 9:00 AM. Photographic identification must be presented to register to cook chili and perform showmanship
9:00 AM Motor vehicle traffic to cooking area will be limited to essential vehicles only
9:30 AM Reading of Contestant list from the stage
10:00 AM Recognition of Sponsors from the stage
10:00 AM T-Shirt and Beer Concessions open
11:30 AM Judges and Table Monitors check the Judging Area for reporting times and table assignments

HIGH NOON TURN IN CHILI AT THE JUDGING AREA

12:30 PM Showmanship Competition until 2:30 PM
3:30 PM Cookoff Announcements to begin on the stage
8:00 PM Clean-up Party – help put judging tables and chairs away and clean the judging area!
9:00 PM Wade Hatton and the Texas Hat Band on the main stage until Midnight
