Susan Dean Wins 42nd Terlingua International Chili Cookoff.

Susan Dean of Johnson City, Texas, won the 42nd Terlingua International Chili Championship in Terlingua, TX, on November 1, 2008. Susan's chili was judged best by six panels of judges who had to select from 319 chilis which were cooked at Rancho Casi de los Chisos on that day.

Susan is no stranger to chili cookoffs, having won fourth place in last years contest. Susan will be present at many cookoffs throughout the year leading up to the 43rd championship in November, 2009, as CASI continues its pursuit of "Chili, Charity, and Fun".

And the chiliheads of the year were Virgil and Roylene Johnson, Ottumwa, IA.
